The Peck collection documents cultural traditions and customs of Native American people of the Washington coast. It consists of sound recordings (cassettes, reels and records) of oral interviews, including songs; slides and photographs; field notes; transcriptions; manuscripts; and correspondence. The photographs include images of Pacific Coast Indian people, their activities, and the environmental features of their tribal regions. The bulk of the collection documents the Quileute people from 1969 to 1979, with some material related to the Makah, Quinault, and other coastal peoples.
